Stress

Stress…

What is it? Is it your best friend or worst enemy? How can you deal with it? Read our post and you’ll get the answers and much more!

Hate Monday! Devour everything in my fridge. Eureka! I’ll break the dishes! No, very likely is to grill the cat… And why is this wall-paper colored with so disgustful color?!...

Don’t disclaim: everybody felt like this. What is it? It’s stress! And believe me – it’s not another trend word. It’s a serious disease, even some kind of epidemic, being the most common problem all over the world. As you know any illness must be treated. Let’s go!

Stress background.

Stress is a defense reaction of our organism to any external action or internal feeling. This reaction takes place both in our mind and our body. For example stress can cause intestinal spasms, head ache or even rise in temperature.
Owing to the stress our organism conforms to the harsh reality, develops immunity. So stresses are necessary for our health. But why are they so dangerous and sometimes even deadly? Let’s learn!

Kinds of stress.

There are two types of stress in contemporary psychology. They are eustress (positive stress) and negative stress. Let me give you some examples.
You’ve got your academic degree. You are so happy!!! You’ve just got married. It’s so exiting! All these events make you stressed though you are not out of spirits. This is eustress (positive stress). At first glance eustresses don’t cause damage to your health. But be careful – even positive stresses are dangerous! If you are in a feeling of euphoria for a long time your nerve centres and nerve fibers perish in lots.
I think you know everything about negative stresses but let’s repeat. Suddenly your favorite pet expired. It’s such a big grief… You grieve over this woe all night through and cannot help crying… It’s stress. BUT: if it doesn’t stop and you are pining over your dead pet for more than a week your stress passes into depression.
But let’s take up another case – absence of stress (reaction). The man who doesn’t care about close friend’s death or significant event in his life is not appropriate person. Absence of stress is a dysfunction of mind. This problem is even more serious than long stress.

Fight IT!!!

I’ll tell you about some “fighting methods” and it’s up to you to choose one of them.

Pills.

There are some people nowadays thinking pills can treat any disease. Usually these people are rather suggestible persons. And their suggestibility sometimes helps them. They take the medicine and feel better at once. Well… Bon appetit! ;) But choose organic or herbal preparations – maybe they will non damage you. Any strong medicine only aggravates your condition. Their principle of operation is rather easy – such medicines block your nerve centres and break natural processes in your organism.

Physical drill.

Jump, run, dance, swim, walk and so on. Do anything! Any physical drill will make the blood to circulate through the body. Blood will satiate your nerve tissue with oxygen and other health-giving trace elements. After short exercises your mood will take a turn for the better at once.

Eutrophy (meals).

As a whole eutrophy can treat any illness. Eutrophy is essential condition of healthy life-style. There are some kinds of food which are essential while you are depressed. First of all being in low spirits you need dairy produce and sea-food. For example milk, cheese, yoghurt, curds, kefir, shrimps, fish and so on. All this produce is reach with calcium which is so necessary for your nerve tissue. Then bananas, paprika, chocolate, parsley, onion. Any favorite dish will be good for you. But don’t eat too much – your organism will face difficulties if the brain bends every effort only to the digestion.

Hydrotherapeutic procedures.

Since olden days they used water as something magical. Pagan priests used water to make divination, healers treated some diseases using special water. Water possesses a lot of properties - it slakes the thirst, purge, helps you to relax and so on.
When you are depressed take a good bath! Use several drops of attar or essential oil. Don’t forget to light some candles. But watch the water temperature – it must be not too hot, not too cold, water temperature must be comfortable just for you.

Alternative methods.

It’s very popular now to learn oriental sports and philosophy, for example yoga or something like this. But be careful – you don’t now all possibilities of your body and if you are a beginner at it you can only damage yourself. But if you really decided to fight the stress with alternative methods try the following exercise.
Lay the woolen blanket over the floor. Turn on relaxing music – sounds of nature or ocean wash. Then lay down the floor on your back, hands along the body, bow your legs in knees, set your feet on pillows or on the chair and try to relax. You should feel light pricking of the wool. Your back must be straight, both hands must be on the floor. This pose will make you fresh and full of energy.

Don’t give up!

Nothing will help you if you think it doesn’t. Don’t give up! The result depends on your aim and efforts. Don’t forget – any event in this life is only for 10% an event and other 90% are our attitude to it. So don’t care! Be wise and happy :)
